How You Can Lose 5 Pounds a Week
It is very possible for you to lose 5 pounds. All that you are really going to have to do is change the amount that you eat and become more active. You need to first figure out how much you need to lose and set that as your goal. Be realistic and don't expect that it will happen overnight. If you need to lose 15 pounds or more it will take longer than if you are only a couple of pounds over weight.
You need first off to figure out what you need to eat. You can't lose weight by using a method that you try to starve yourself. Your body will believe that it is not getting the nourishment that it needs and will just hold on to fat longer. You must eat plenty of proteins and carbohydrates to provide your body with the fuel that it needs to keep you healthy. Figure what are the bad foods that are in your diet and cut them out. Stop eating any unessential sugars and carbs that will hold on to fat cells.
If you can maintain a diet that limits itself to 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day and start on a program of moderate exercise then loosing up to 5 pounds a week it not an unreal goal. The more you exercise the more that you need to eat, but eat the right things. Just because you walked a couple miles that doesn't mean you earned a big mac and fries. Eat fruits and raw vegetables and try to avoid the foods that put on the extra weight to begin with.
Exercise should raise your heart rate to help you lose weight. Start at thirty minutes a day and then increase it gradually up to an hour. Exercise hard enough that you will have to pause to converse and are breathing hard. Don't forget that in your exercise program to include some sort of strength training. Muscles will burn calories just by their usage. If you add two to three days of straight training to your exercise it will pay off in added weight loss..
If you seek a weight loss program find one that doesn't let you ever go hungry. If you get to hungry you will eat much more than normal and then feel guilty after wards. It is a good idea to go and have your doctor check you out and give you some ideas of the types of exercise you should do and foods that you should eat. It may involve a big change in how you approach mealtime, but it will pay off when you start losing 5 pounds a week.
